We would like to congratulate Coach Clarence Jordan for being selected as the February Coach of the Month!

Clarence H. Jordan Jr. is an accomplished educator, mentor, former athlete, and active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. Born in Fort Riley, Kansas, he had a unique upbringing as a military child, which allowed him to travel the world before settling in Clarksdale, Mississippi, at the age of 8. Clarence's early years were spent between Mississippi and Tennessee, where he began his journey in sports and education.
He attended Lebanon, TN schools from 4th grade to 11th grade before moving back to Clarksdale, MS to finish high school. His athletic career led him to Coahoma Community College, where he earned a football scholarship and was eventually inducted into the school's football Hall of Fame. He continued his football journey at Tennessee State University, where he played for three years, contributing to a standout team in the Ohio Valley Conference. During his time in college, Clarence was involved in community service projects throughout Nashville and its surrounding areas.
After graduation, he pursued a professional football career. Though he went undrafted, Clarence was picked up by the Baltimore Ravens and later traded to the Green Bay Packers. After leaving the NFL, Clarence transitioned into coaching, mentoring young athletes, and shaping future talent. He began his coaching career at Watertown High School in Tennessee, where his leadership helped the team win district championships and make it to the playoffs for five consecutive years.
Currently, Clarence Jordan is an educator at Inspired Vision Academy Charter School, teaching History and providing a supportive, inclusive learning environment for his students. His passion for helping young people, honed through years of experience in athletics and education, continues to guide him as he mentors and teaches the next generation.
